SPIO Lumbar Sacral Orthosis (LSO)

The Lumbar Sacral Orthosis (LSO) | Available in Michigan USA

The SPIO Lumbar Sacral Orthosis (LSO) is ideal for those with poor core muscle activation, stabilization, or weakness. Children with the diagnosis of Severe Axial Hypotonia, Athetoid Quadriplegia, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or Benign Anterior Horn Cell Disease may benefit from the use of the SPIO® Lumbar Sacral Orthosis.

How to Use:

Measure each child according to the Sizing Guidelines for a good fit, never select a size for your patient based on “eye-balling” the SPIO® Orthosis. For the fitting, the child can be standing, sitting, or lying down on their back, depending on the child’s comfort level. Attach the panel, pull the Lumbar Sacral Orthosis down over the hips and wrap the panel snugly around the patient. The Lumbar Sacral Orthosis should fit snugly and firmly. You may have to adjust it a few times after the initial donning to optimize the fit. If you slip your hand under the abdominal area, with proper tension, you should feel a snug compression.

Material

  • Lycra/Nylon Fabric.
  • Microperforated Neoprene.
  • 1″ Hook and Loop.
  • 100% Latex-Free.
