What is STANDARD SHIPPING?

Standard shipping is our default shipping method. Under this option, we will use either FedEx and UPS to ship your package. We will make this determination based on speed and cost-effectiveness. This service is free. Please note: Offer for free standard shipping is only valid in the continental United States (Excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands). Healthcare DME will ship certain products internationally. All shipping charges are calculated by FedEx and UPS and will be displayed at the time of checkout. Purchaser is responsible for all shipping, import, and brokerage fees assets by FedEx International or your country customs center.

When will my order be shipped?

Most orders placed before 11:30 am EST/EDT from Monday to Friday will be shipped on the same day using the selected shipping option. Please note that some orders may be shipped within 1-3 days of order processing. Orders placed after 11:30 am EST/EDT Monday through Friday or anytime Saturday and Sunday will be shipped the following business day. If any orders are not available or on backorder, the customer will be notified and the item will be shipped as soon as possible. All calculations for expedited delivery are based on business days only.

International Shipping Policy

1. Scope of Responsibility

Healthcare DME specializes in the global distribution of Healthcare Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Our responsibility is strictly limited to the origination and transit of your order. We are responsible for:

Secure packaging of medical equipment.

Coordination with international freight carriers.

Provision of standard international export documentation (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, etc.).

2. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

All orders shipped outside of United States of America are subject to local import laws. The recipient is the Importer of Record and is solely responsible for all:

Import duties and value-added taxes (VAT).

Customs clearance fees and brokerage charges.

Compliance with local medical device regulatory requirements.

These charges are not included in our shipping rates and must be paid by the recipient upon the arrival of the package in the destination country.

3. Refused or Abandoned Shipments

In the event that a shipment is refused by the recipient, or if the recipient fails to pay the required customs duties and taxes, the package may be abandoned or returned to us.

If a package is returned due to recipient refusal or non-payment of fees, the following costs will be deducted from any eligible refund:

The original outbound shipping cost.

Any return shipping fees charged by the carrier.

A 25% administrative handling fee.

4. Regulatory Compliance

While we provide standard international documentation, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the specific medical equipment ordered is legal for import and use within their country. Healthcare DME is not liable for items seized, delayed, or destroyed by foreign customs authorities due to local regulatory restrictions.

How much does shipping cost?

Healthcare DME is happy to now offer free standard (2-7 business day arrival time) shipping on all orders over $100.00. All customers have the ability to upgrade shipping to our FedEx expedited, UPS Ground, and UPS 2nd Day options at an additional cost. To find these costs please add the desired items to your cart and initiate checkout to see published rates. We reserve the right to choose a shipping method when orders are shipped free.
